The NHS Standard Contract

Regional Voices has responded to the NHS England response to the consultation results on the 2015/16 Standard Contract on issues that impact on the VCS sector. In particular, these issues relate to tailoring the contract for different service types, grant agreements, and staff engagement and equality.

VCS and localised commissioning

In the light of the issues that arose in the working paper entitled The Voluntary and Community Sector and Localised Commissioning, Regional Voices has drafted a working paper that takes a short look at questions that it would be useful to address nationally, to get the most of partnership work with the VCS.

The Building Health Partnerships Programme has supported 12 CCGs and local voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations to develop cross-sector relationships.

Realising the value: a new relationship with patients and communities

NHS England has set up the Realising the Value Programme, which will make a grant available to an organisation or consortium to undertake a new programme of work to help strengthen the case for change, identify a set of evidence-based approaches and develop tools to support their wider implementation across the NHS and local communities.

Regional Voices' Who's Who Guides to the Regions for Health and Social Care have been updated, with new contacts added, including where to get information on local joint strategic needs assessments and public scrutiny for health.

Reminder: VCS engagement with health and wellbeing boards survey

Regional Voices has launched its third survey asking the VCS about its engagement with health and wellbeing boards, including what is working well, what could work better and what support would help.
