Microsoft IT Youth Hubs – Digital Literacy Days

Microsoft IT Youth Hubs will be running a series events through August to provide young people with the opportunity to develop their digital literacy skills, including in Birmingham on Thursday 15 and Manchester on Tuesday 20 August.

The events are aimed at young people who are keen to learn about the skills involved in the digital workplace and are interested in gaining experience working in ICT and want to break into the ICT industry.

Young people will be able to choose from a range of workshops, including the digital world, online safety and learn coding, all delivered by experts in their fields, Microsoft mentors and IT champions.

Spaces on the events are limited. For further information and to book email josie@ukyouth.org or telephone 020 3137 3810.

A partnership between Microsoft and UK Youth, the 30 Microsoft IT Youth Hubs aim to inspire, empower and support young people aged 16 to 24 from the across the UK to get involved and improve their digital literacy skills.

Over the past year, the scheme has supported over 1,000 young people by running training and a peer education programme to bring digital literacy to life for young people.
