Membership of the Institute for Youth Work

The Institute for Youth Work, a membership body for youth workers providing them with a voice for their views and supporting them to reach their highest professional standards, will launch in September 2013.

Members of the institute will benefit from:

  • Access to quality assured continuing professional development opportunities, including online lectures and input on key youth issues from decision makers within the sector.
  • A register of professional, qualified members and an ethical framework for youth work, signed up to by members.
  • Regular information and updates on sector policy developments, tailored to the differing needs of members.
  • Membership discounts and incentives.

The cost of membership is £40 for certified members, £20 for members, £15 for students and £10 for volunteers. Organisations can become supporters for £1,000, which will entitle their staff and volunteers to half price membership.

Ahead of its launch, you can register your interest in joining the Institute at www.iyw.org.uk/forms/registration-form. If you join between 1 September and 31 December you will get a second years’ membership for free.
