Investment in youth services

15 youth organisations, representing more than eight million young people, have signed a joint open letter to the Education Secretary, calling for greater investment in youth services.

The letter raises concerns about the damage youth services could suffer if removed from central government responsibility.

A supporting survey, carried out by the organisations, found that 92% of young people felt ministers do too little to show they care about young people and 95% feel youth policy should be a key priority for national government.
