Children England statement

Children England are pleased to work with One East Midlands on the BIG SELL event supporting the sector through two of our Strategic Partnerships.

The Family Strategic Partnership (FSP) and the Overarching Strategic Partnership programmes are both commissioned by the Department for Education (DfE).

The partnerships are consortiums of charity organisations that have come together to share their vision and experience with the aim of supporting the on-going development of the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector (VCSE) that works – or is considering working – with children, young people and families; and to share the best practice, expertise, learning and concerns of the sector with the DfE.

Led by Children England, the Overarching Strategic Partnership (OAP) aims to support the evolving economy and infrastructure of the whole voluntary, community and social enterprise sector  serving children, young people and families and ensure that the sector are at the forefront of both delivering and shaping services and influencing and informing policy.

The Families Strategic Partnership is led by Barnardo’s  and works  with  member networks, stakeholder groups and the wider families voluntary and community sector to understand what already works well at a local level to develop a network of support across the country and provide a voice for the sector and families, ensuring  that frontline expertise and experience informs policy development and future government planning.
