  • Any VCS organisations thinking about trading or starting to trade
  • Support organisations providing advice and help to VCS organisations looking at trading

It is often difficult to know where to start. These pages seeks to help you find the right information and support for you. We hope that you find it useful.

Stepping Up To Enterprise aimed to help voluntary and community organisations (VCOs) to develop trading and income generation. By trading we mean any sales of goods or services, however small, and including public sector contracting.

 

The content on these Stepping Up To Enterprise pages were originally produced by a Capacity Builders funded project of the same name that has aimed to enhance support to VCS organisations looking to develop trading in the East Midlands. The partners leading the project were High Peak CVS, Enterprise Solutions Northamptonshire and East Midlands Development Trusts Association. The project was completed in Spring 2012 and management of the website and other resources was taken over by One East Midlands.

Most of the information on these pages is not specific to the East Midlands other than the case studies, which are all from the region, and some of the support organisations listed in the directory.
