VCSE Review - Make your thoughts count and have your say

Regional Voices want to stress the importance of the current stakeholder engagement process going on as part of the VCSE Review.

In November 2014, the Department of Health, Public Health England, and NHS England initiated a review of their investment in the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector. The group overseeing the review has representatives from the VCSE and public sector including Regional Voices. Their purpose is to gather views and evidence to make recommendations about two key elements:

  1. Investment and partnerships between health and care agencies and the VCSE sector across England.
  2. Central government grant funding of the VCSE sector contributing to health and care.  This is a joint funding programme across the system partners, administered by the Department of Health. This part of central government funding is called ‘the Voluntary Sector Investment programme’.

We are encouraging discussions about how best we can do this.   We are asking people to get involved by completing one or both of two consultations.  These are very wide-ranging but you only need to answer the questions relevant to you or your organisation/ group.

  • VCSE Review: Discussion Paper on the Voluntary Sector Investment Programme - The second survey asks for views on the role and effectiveness of the government’s current ‘Voluntary Sector Investment Programme’ suite of grants.  The audience for this is more limited.  However, it is open to anyone to respond if you have a view on this programme and how it can be improved.  If you want to see or print a full text version of the discussion paper, please click here.

Both consultations will remain open until Friday 6 November and are available to complete below:

There are also a number of free events - face-to-face and online which you can attend to learn more, ask questions and share your views.  See the VCSE Review website for more details.
