Bite-size Guide to Grants
NHS England has launched the Bite-size Guide to Grants for the voluntary sector, which aims to support clinical commissioners by outlining the benefits and principles of providing grant funding for the VCS and suggests practical steps for commissioners about using grants to support priorities.
The guide is part of wider work to support the voluntary sector with health commissioning, including:
- Supporting NHS England to pilot a model grant agreement in 2015/16) www.regionalvoices.org/grants;
- Working with NHS England and other Health and Care Voluntary Sector Strategic Partners to develop a lighter touch NHS Standard Contract for use with the voluntary sector www.regionalvoices.org/NHSStandardContract;
- Taking part in the department of health/NHS England/Public Health England VCS funding review www.voluntarysectorhealthcare.org.uk/vcse-review; and
- Helping to develop a more VCS friendly funding environment www.regionalvoices.org/VCSE-funding.
