Realising the value

Regional Voices, of which One East Midlands and Wellbeing East are part of, is one of a number of partners to have been selected to run a new grant-funded programme for NHS England, entitled Realising the Value.

The purpose of the programme is to demonstrate to health practitioners and commissioners the value of engaging people in their health and care. The work will develop evidence from around the country of different ways of working with patients, the public and the VCS, such as social prescribing. It will include economic and value case modeling, tools for culture change in local areas, and demonstration work in a number of local health economies.

The overall partnership is jointly led by Nesta and the Health Foundation, already close partners of ours, and includes a voluntary sector infrastructure consortium which Regional Voices put together with National Voices, NAVCA and CSV.

The consortium will be called Voluntary Voices and its role will be to share and communicate emerging thinking from the programme through the complementary networks; involve the VCS in testing and feeding back on models and tools; and coproduce the evidence and value statements.

Within the same consortium Regional Voices will be working with the Coalition for Collaborative Care on spreading care and support planning.
