One Day Health Commissioning Masterclass - East of England

Are you concerned about changes to the way in which your services are funded?  This course will help you to understand the new funding landscape.

This free full day event, taking place at Meadows Community Centre, Cambridge on the 14th April, aims to build the commercial skills of charities and social enterprises so you can be more successful in bidding for and delivering public service contracts.

This masterclass will be delivered by Emma Baylin, Development Officer: Health & Networks, Involve Yorkshire and
Humber.

Background

Cabinet Office and Dept of Health have commissioned NCVO and its partner organisations Regional Voices for Better Health and Involve Yorkshire and Humber, to deliver a series of courses around England to support voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations that work to improve health & well-being, or deliver social care services.


Main purpose of event

For local frontline voluntary and community organisations working to improve health & well-being, or deliver social care services to:

•          understand the changing funding context for their work

•          understand how they need to adapt business practices to succeed the new environment

•          build relationships with colleague organisations


Who should attend?

This course is for senior managers and trustees of charities and social enterprises that work in the fields of health, wellbeing and social care. Participants should already be experienced in charity management, and/or operating projects or services.

The course is funded by Cabinet Office, Department of Health and ESIF.
