Volunteer with Skillshare International through International Citizen Service

Skillshare International, a Leicester based charity, part of a consortium of organisations, is offering the International Citizen Service (ICS) programme, fully funded by the government and aimed at NEETS aged 18 to 25.

As part of the ICS programme, volunteers take on a 10 week placement in Botswana, South Africa or Lesotho, using sport and education as international development tools and to gain valuable life skills and experience.

The programme is fully funded, including flights, accommodation, pre-departure training and, once back in the UK, a placement to help the volunteer’s community with an “Action at Home” project.

Skillshare International are currently trying to recruit NEETS or potentially recent graduates for the Autumn departures.

In addition, volunteers aged 23 and over can apply for team leader placements, which are usually for six months and give volunteers the opportunity to use their experience and enthusiasm to mentor and support small groups of UK and local ICS volunteers.
