The Government has published the Local Authority Interactive Tool, along with user guidance. The tool compares data for children and young people across all local authorities in England and can also be used to make comparisons over time. The tool, which presents information in interactive tables and charts with the local authority’s rank and position within the national context, includes data on looked-after children, child protection, pupil attainment, children’s health, post-16 circumstances, and judgements from school inspections. The Home Office has published Human Rights of Unaccompanied Migrant Children and Young People in the UK. The report responds to a recent Joint Committee on Human Rights report, which said too often unaccompanied migrant children and young people are treated as immigration cases first and as children and young people second. Prime Minister David Cameron has launched a Commission on the Holocaust, which will work to ensure Britain has a permanent memorial to the Holocaust and educational resources for future generations. A public call for evidence will run until Friday 30 May.
