Identif-I workshops, film screenings and conference

Identif-I, a project that aims to get young people’s voices and heard and make a difference, will be running a series of free workshops, film screenings and conversations about issues affecting young people.

  • Wednesday 5 March 5pm to 8pm – Riot from Wrong screening and Q&A: On the fourth day of the riots, in the face of devastation and destruction, surrounded by negativity and misconception, 19 passionate young people from across London came together to take positive action. The documentary ‘Riot from Wrong’ is a result of that positive action. The screening will be followed by a Q&A session with the Fully Focused Team and how lessons can be shared.
  • Wednesday 12 March 5pm to 8pm – 247365 Change screening and Q&A: “247365 Change” explores the depths that gang culture, not only in London but in Britain as a whole, has plagued today’s youth and become a stain on the conscience of the government, past and present, who have chosen to ignore these societies. The film also looks at the media’s warped focus on blaming bad parenting, bad education, excess benefits and government cuts, and compares those with the perspectives of today’s youth and the eyes through which they see today’s failing in their societies. The screening will be followed by a Q&A session with the director and crew.
  • Wednesday 19 March 5pm to 8pm – The desensitisation of emotions. A Q&A with Kenny Johnson (part 1): Notingham born, former Olympic coach and six times European karate champion, mental coach and writer, Kenny will captivate young people with his knowledge and insight into the desensitisation of young people through the media, technology and other subliminal coding. This is a practical session, which focuses on the solutions to the problem.
  • Thursday 20 March 5pm to 8pm – The illuminati. A Q&A with Kenny Johnson (part 2): This session will involve young people being given active tools that aid in them escaping from one’s own self imposed prison. Young people will learn simple and effective methods that will change and expand their version of reality. Attendees will gain the most from the event by being prepared to participate rather than just listen.
  • Monday 14 April – Identif-I Conference: The aim of this event is to allow young people to look at solutions to all the issues raised from the above workshops, them present these to a panel of professionals to work out a plan for creating sustainable change in the community, which is both positive and proactive.
