Children and Young People's NHS Constitution Project

The Council for Disabled Children is developing a new project that will promote children and young people’s rights when using the health system by promoting the NHS Constitution.

Building on previous work by NCB and funded by the Department of Health, CDC will develop resources with children and young people who face health disadvantages that will make the rights in the NHS Constitution relevant and accessible to children and young people.

For further information on the project visit www.councilfordisabledchildren.org.uk/what-we-do/work-themes/health/practice-and-projects/nhs-constitution-project.

As part of the project they want to talk to groups of children and young people who face health disadvantages about what rights in the Constitution are most important to them and how they would like to be supported to use the Constitution when accessing NHS services.

They will also be recruiting an advisory group who will help co-produce the materials based on the findings from the focus groups.

If the children and young people you work with would be interested in taking part in this project contact Andrew Fellowes by email at afellowes@ncb.org.uk or telephone 020 7843 6060.
