The Bridges Social Impact Bond Fund provides investment and support to charities and social enterprises to deliver programmes designed to improve social outcomes in areas such as education, employment, housing and care for vulnerable young people. The Nationwide Foundation's Empty Homes Programme will fund organisations turning such properties into safe, decent homes for people in need. Applicants can apply for grant funding or programme related (social) investment loans of £15,000 to £140,000. The deadline for applications is Sunday 30 June. £10million has been made available by the government to help homeless people receive better support once they leave hospital. The funding will support VCS organisations to work with the NHS and local authorities to create services and an application process has been launched for VCS organisations to bid for funding.
