Social Incubator North fund

The Social Incubator North fund has been launched, with the first call for applications open until Monday 1 July, with at least two further calls to be made over the next two years.

In the East Midlands the facility, which aims to support and develop social businesses, is open to applicants based in Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire.

Social Businesses are not defined by their legal persuasion but by the extent of the social impact they seek to deliver. For this reason, dividend distributing organisations may also apply to the fund, provided they have a desire to embed social value at the heart of their business.

Successful applicants to the fund will be able to access:

  • On-going specialist support and advice
  • Staged step by step support
  • Up to £25,000 investment with links to other investors
  • Up to 80 hours of tailored one-to-one business development support; the support grows with the business
  • Peer learning and networking opportunities
  • Access to business space
  • The fund’s national expertise delivered locally.
