BOND Masterclass: Mental Health of children and young people

Taking place at YMCA Cambridge on Monday 20 May and BCVS, Birmingham on Friday 7 June, this free one day masterclass aims to help delegates navigate their way through the latest thinking on mental health as it applies to VCS organisations working with looked after children' and young people who offend.

Delegates will explore two core modules, Introduction to mental health and Risk & resilience, then select their own menu of learning for the remainder of the day based on what you want to find out more about. Additional module options will include ADHD, Self Harm, LGB, emotional literacy, gender, and the CAMHS system.

The training will recognise the part that delegates can play in helping children grow up, have a good understanding of what mental health and psychological wellbeing is and how they can promote resilience in children and young people.

Following the training day, BOND are able to offer some tailored support to participants to strengthen their organisation’s position to positively respond to mental health service delivery tenders and contract opportunities. This could include Marketing, Commissioning Processes, Children and Young Peoples IAPT and Department of Health Payment By Results.
