Fair access to universities

The Government has published an interim report on promoting fair access to universities.

The report found that outreach needs to begin from primary school age and should then continue throughout school and college in order to increase the number from disadvantaged backgrounds benefitting from higher education.

The report also found that outreach is one of the most effective ways to promote progression, with targeted outreach particularly effective.
