New assessment framework for youth justice system

The Youth Justice Board has announced a new enhanced framework for assessing young people, who have either entered, or are at risk on entering, the youth justice system.

AssetPlus has been designed by the youth Justice Board and will be the first national assessment framework used by both youth offending teams and the secure estate.

The framework will also have a stronger focus than its predecessor, Asset, on a young person’s potential for change and involve a greater number of assessment tools for the young person and their family.
