Initiative to support VCSE to reduce energy costs

The Social Enterprise Energy (SEE) initiative aims to help VCSE groups in Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire to reduce their energy costs.

Delivered by NEP Energy Services (NEPes), who ARE experienced in supporting organisations to find quick cost and carbon savings and  communicating the benefits and knowledge to staff, service users and the local community, the initiative aims to help VCSE organisations to:

  • Make instant savings on their utility bills by switching to a better value energy tariff.
  • Identify opportunities for cost and carbon savings and for energy generation technologies, including providing support with funding, procurement and implementation.
  • Support staff, service users and local community to save money and energy.

NEPes have received two major international awards for previous work with communities and organisations including the 2011 BMJ Award and 2011 International Green Award.

As a charity they recycle 100% of their profits back into local community carbon and fuel poverty projects and for every four days consultancy purchased by a private sector or large organisation, they gift one day of free support to a local community.
