Derby Museums became a charitable trust on 1 October 2012.  The newly-created organisation needs to be highly customer focused as well as commercially-minded and entrepreneurial.  Derby Museums is looking to appoint a consultant to review use of volunteers, trainees, students and other placements in the workforce and to look at ways to build on and improve current practice.  The range of placements to be considered should include but not be restricted to:

  • volunteers
  • university students – undergraduates, researchers, post graduates
  • secondees
  • trainees and apprentices
  • others on employment schemes
  •  work experience pupils
  • shadowing placements

Quotations should be received no later than 12 noon on Wednesday 5 December 2012.  Estimated budget £8,000.   Further information can be found at: www.sourcederbyshire.co.uk/contracts/show/id/7536
