D2N2 Social Inclusion Consortium event 070515

 Registration is closed for this event

The voluntary sector collaboration for the D2N2 Local Enterprise Partnership Area – the Social Inclusion Consortium – was launched in February.

The announcement has been very positively received by voluntary sector organisations working across the D2N2 area, many of whom are keen to work within a local, voluntary sector led consortium to deliver the key outcomes required by the LEP.

The Social Inclusion Consortium aims to provide a vehicle for local organisations to deliver local solutions to meet the needs of local people in line with the targets and priorities identified by the LEP. With that aim at our core, we would like to invite all interested organisations to attend a Social Inclusion Consortium event on Thursday 7 May at 10:00am at Newstead Centre, Tilford Road, Newstead Village NG15 0BS.

The event will provide attendees with up-to-date information about the process involved in bidding for European Funding, and the requirements on an organisation if it is involved in delivering a successful bid.

If your organisation is interested in being part of the Social Inclusion Consortium then please come along to the event.

During the morning we aim to:

  • Ensure everyone is familiar with the bidding process and has an understanding of the contracts we expect D2N2 to launch;
  • Start to map the delivery organisations who want to be involved;
  • Hear from current consortium members;
  • Discuss a Partnership Agreement and the process of Due Diligence.

Organisations attending will then have the opportunity to sign up to be part of the Social Inclusion Consortium.

The event will be facilitated by One East Midlands who have the contract from the Big Lottery Building Better Opportunities Fund to support emerging partnerships as they develop and bid for European Funding.

This is a morning event and will finish by 1:30pm.  However, the venue has been booked for the whole day to allow further discussions to take place if necessary.  There is a café facility on site where light refreshments can be purchased.

To book a place please click on the 'register now' button.

This is an exciting opportunity for the voluntary sector across the D2N2 area to come together to pool their expertise and local knowledge and to improve the life chances of excluded groups in our area and we look forward to working with you.
