Think Autism updated the 2010 Cross Government Autism Strategy in April 2014. The progress report has now been issued setting out what has been achieved since then and setting 31 new actions to continue to help local areas implement the autism strategy.

The report sets out how people with autism are being helped to live as full and independent lives as possible including:

  • reforms to the Special Educational Needs and Disability system;
  • support with employment opportunities;
  • better awareness of autism within the criminal justice system; and
  • the use of information and data by local authorities and their partners.
