Free workplace learning for VCS staff

Enable, the Nottingham and Nottinghamshire VCS learning and skills consortium, has secured £1.4million of ESF funding to help VCS employees in the East Midlands improve their employment potential through workforce learning.

This free training is open to VCS staff aged 19 or over with low skills (below level 2), who live in the East Midlands and are employed by a VCS organisation.

Any vocational learning, delivered in predominately in the workplace in conjunction with either the employee’s occupation or their employer’s business can be funded, including basic and functional skills qualifications, level 1 qualifications, level 2 qualifications, and, for 19 to 24 year olds only, level 3 qualifications.

The aim of the learning is to increase the contribution employees make to the success of their organisation and to improve their employment prospects.
