Starbucks Youth Action - NCS Graduate Fund (Deadline January/February)

The Starbucks Youth Action – NCS Graduate* Fund programme is for any young people who have been involved in NCS aged 16 to 24, aims to inspire and empower NCS graduates from across England to make a difference in their communities by awarding grants of up to £2,000 to set up and lead their own social action project. 

If you are interested in applying to run a social action project you must ensure the following:

  • You must have completed an NCS programme; (or be about to)
  • The social action project you are looking to run will cause a positive change that will benefit your local community;
  • Your project will be led by a group of three NCS graduates; and
  • Through your project you will lead 32 other young people in social action.**

Online applications from the East Midlands will be taken until the end of February but applications submitted in January will have even more impact on funders and applicants should concentrate on getting the application in as an expression of interest.

If your application is shortlisted you will be invited to pitch your project idea on to a panel consisting of a councillor and/or young person, Starbucks employee and a youth worker where you will have the opportunity to talk further about your project

If your pitch is successful you will carry out your social action project within three months of being awarded your grant.

The Starbucks Youth Action NCS Graduate programme is funded under the Social Action Journey fund by the Cabinet Office.


*The term “Graduate” in the title of the programme does not refer to university or college graduates.

**This could be involving youth club members/friends/one off event or any reasonable idea and the application adviser can assist you with this.
