Alex Archibald joins One East Midlands

One East Midlands is delighted to welcome Alex Archibald to our team as our new ERDF Project Officer.

Alex will be working alongside our ERDF Project Manager Chris Hill on our Reach & Impact project, an ERDF and Big Lottery funded project, primarily focused on increasing awareness and encouraging third sector organisations across the East Midlands, to engage in the ERDF programme and to ensure they have the right information to access this stream of European Funding.

Alex tells you more about herself and why she is looking forward to working with VCS organisations in the East Midlands below:

“I am very excited to begin my work with One East Midlands as the new ERDF Project Officer, and am particularly thrilled to be working such energetic organisations as those that are found in VCS. I am bringing with me a wide range of expertise, most notably from working on multi-million euro ERDF projects and Local Authority Transport Bid Development. My background is a mix of Business Engagement, Technical and Project Management activities, with a focus upon UK/EU funding and GIS/Remote Sensing applications (typically for Health). My scientific background has allowed me to develop key contacts with people throughout the East Midlands who would be very interested in engaging with the VCS through European funded projects.

I am particularly keen to get involved in VCS due to the exceptional potential this sector has for collaboration and engagement to take advantage of European funding. I hope that I will be able to meet you all soon, hopefully at one of our upcoming events, and please contact myself or the team if you are interested in any of the services One East Midlands has to offer.”
