Young People Participation and Decision Making Training
The Mighty Creatives are running a practical course designed for people wanting to understand young people’s participation and decision making on Tuesday 9 December in Leicester or Thursday 5 March in Derby, both from 10am to 4pm.
This course will help people who want to involve children and young people in organisational decision making but want a little help on how to design and run successful participation sessions.
The course content will include:
- Understanding learning theory and explore learning styles to make sure work is inclusive and engaging;
- Identifying the differences between facilitating a session and leading a session; and
- Discussing the ingredients and confidence that make up a good session and a good facilitator.
Throughout the course, which includes refreshments and lunch, facilitators will model an engaging workshop, and there will be time for delegates to design their own session plan to take away with them. There will also be plenty of opportunities to network and share best practice with other delegates.
The cost of the training is £35 if booking before Friday 28 November for the Leicester course and before Thursday 19 February for the Derby course or £125 after these dates.
