Young people and bullying

The Royal College of General Practitioners and NSPCC have launched a new safeguarding children toolkit, which includes advice on spotting the signs of bullying as well as how to identify and support children and young people at risk of trafficking and radicalisation.

A group of charities led by Kidscape has produced a free anti-bullying resource aiming to give young people an insight into the potential challenges being faced by their peers. These challenges include life with autism; life as a young carer; life dealing with homophobic taunts; and life for gifted and talented children who are ostracized as a result. The Government Equalities Office and the Department for Education have published review reports of what works in preventing homophobic, biphobic and transphobic bullying among school-age children and young people.
