Time to be Heard

The Carers Trust is joining with The University of Nottingham, NUS and young adult carers to deliver this event at the University of Nottingham on Tuesday 24 and Wednesday 25 June.

The event will give young adult carers aged 16 to 25 the chance to take a break and find out about further education, careers and apprenticeships as well as meet with other young adult carers from across the country, chill out, play sport and relax.

They will also see how other carers have balanced further education and training with their caring role, find out about the application process and student finance, talk to decision makers about their concerns and stay overnight in their own room in university accommodation.

The event, food and overnight accommodation is free, with carers only having to pay for their travel to the event.

A support worker will need to accompany under 18s if they are staying overnight.
