What works for wellbeing

The Big Lottery Fund has completed the evaluation of its wellbeing programme, and has come up with some useful guidance on what works when applying for funding.

In 2007, the Fund awarded £160million funding through its Wellbeing Programme to support the development of healthier lifestyles and to improve wellbeing in England.

Their research has identified a range of learning about what works in wellbeing projects as well as the characteristics of the least successful projects.

A summary of these findings, the full evaluation report and in-depth case studies are available from www.biglotteryfund.org.uk/research/health-and-well-being/evaluating-well-being/what-works-for-wellbeing.
