Young Persons Impact Briefing – 10 October

On Thursday 10 October Framework Housing Association will lead a national seminar exploring some of the key issues facing vulnerable young people, what challenges they encounter and how organisations can help them make a successful and stable transition into adult life.

The event, entitled Young People in Crisis – The Challenges of Guiding Vulnerable Young People Towards Adulthood will take place from 2pm to 4pm at the Lindhurst Rooms, Mansfield Civic Centre.

Featuring a key-note speech from Homeless Link’s Joe Kent, introductions by Sir John Peace, a session on domestic abuse with Chloe Cheeseman from Equation, and expert comment from Framework staff, the event will examine four issues in particular:

  • The destructive impact of Legal Highs
  • The impact of Welfare Reform
  • Youth Unemployment
  • The risk of abuse and exploitation

The event will also include a showing the short film Framework & Me, which features the stories of several young Framework residents.
