Talking Therapies workshop sessions – East Midlands

Evidence suggests that BME communities are disproportionately affected by mental health and are the least likely to access help for dealing with mental health issues.

The free workshops, taking place in Nottingham on Tuesday 23 July, Tuesday 10 September and Tuesday 24 September aim to help communities understand the benefits of talking therapies, of recognising the need to talk and what free treatment is available.

They will also encourage getting involved NHS Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) programme in your area, which looks to increase the involvement of all in using the power of talking to improve people’s emotional health and wellbeing.

The workshops should be attended by individuals and organisations with an interest in the mental health and wellbeing of BME communities.

Places are limited. To book visit http://raceequalityfoundation.eventbrite.co.uk.
