Youth Contract findings

The Department for Work and Pensions has published The Youth Contract: Findings from research with Jobcentre Plus staff in five case study districts.

The report provides feedback on the implementation and delivery of the Youth Contract, based on interviews and focus groups with Jobcentre Plus staff. It also explored specific elements of the Youth Contract including additional adviser support, work experience, sector-based work academies and the wage incentive, and recommends that dedicated 18 to 24-year-teams should be encouraged where possible.
