Bespoke training for community groups

Community Matters are offering bespoke half day or day long sessions for up to ten participants on a shared subject of the participants choosing. These practical, facilitated sessions will offer a defined group of organisations the opportunity to get to grips with and take action on a tangible issue.

Following the sessions up to five organisations will be eligible for further follow up face-to-face support and all groups will be offered on-going telephone and email support. Examples of issues that could be included in the training include:

  • Groups interested in taking on a particular community building jointly
  • Groups with an interest in developing a consortia bid for a particular, identified service
  • Groups with concerns about strengthening any part of their governance
  • Groups with concerns about developing or redeveloping their strategies and business plans
  • Groups interested in developing monitoring and evaluation systems for a particular type of service, and/or learning how to monitor and demonstrate social value.
