EMVY E-bulletin

February 2015

Welcome to our monthly EMVY (East Midlands Voluntary Youth) e-bulletin. If you have any comments, would like to submit articles, events and other news for inclusion within later issues or would like to sign up to receive this e-bulletin, please get in touch by emailing emvy@one-em.org.uk.

View from the Chair

Just to encourage you to look through the whole of the EMVY newsletter there are two items that have a particular East Midlands’ perspective which you can find on the last page of this month’s newsletter. The University of Nottingham is conducting a project into self-harm amongst young people in residential or foster care, this is important work and can make a difference to young people’ outcomes. Also, across the East Midlands Transform Training is offering free workshops on personal resilience.

It would also be remiss of me if I did not take this opportunity to thank Claire Chapman of One East Midlands who has diligently put together the EMVY Newsletter each month and then has to wait far too long for my few lines of incoherent ramblings. Claire is going on to bigger and better things (although what could be better that EMVY and One East Midlands?) and I will miss has diligence, patience and good humour (but not sure about her dodgy taste in music).
