A new good practice guide published recently explains the opportunity that voluntary and third sector organisations have to provide support should a care home close.


New resources from The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE)

NICE has published two new resources to support implementation of the guideline on older people with social care needs and multiple long-term conditions


Start active, stay active: infographics on physical activity

The Department of Health has published a series of infographics explaining the physical activity required to achieve general health benefits for different age ranges.

Children, Young People and the NHS Constitution

CDC and NCB have developed new resources to raise awareness of children and young people’s rights under the NHS Constitution and empower them to be involved in their own and health and care.


CAMHS transformation and the role of the VCS

The report, entitled ‘A Foot in the Door’, focusses on eight themes that are of particular relevance to voluntary sector providers


Report into the importance of accessible healthcare for people who are deafblind

Sense (The Disability Partnership) has produced a new report into the importance of accessible healthcare for people who are deafblind, to tie in with the implementation of the Accessible Information Standard.

This is a chance to directly influence how NICE guidance is written and presented in the future.


Consultation: New data security standards for health and social care - closes on the 7th September 2016.

This consultation seeks views on the proposed data security standards and the consent/opt-outs model from health and care professionals and organisations and the public.


Ensuring all children can benefit from improved mental health services survey - open until 5th September

The National Children’s Bureau (NCB)  would like to hear from all charities, but especially from charities working with specific groups of children who may have poorly understood need

NHS in North Derbyshire launches proposals for better care closer to home for more older people

Better joined-up care closer to home would become a reality for many older people in North Derbyshire under proposals at the heart of a public consultation


NHS Infection Monitoring Pilot Scheme - Corby Volunteers Needed!

NHS Corby Clinical Commissioning Group is running a year-long pilot scheme designed to prevent emergency admissions due to infections. The pilot is already underway and they are short of the 600 volunteers needed for the scheme.


Derbyshire County Council County Council consultation on changes to mental health day opportunity and social inclusion services - consultation period closing date 17 August 2016

The six-week consultation period has begun, into proposed funding cuts to voluntary and community sector providers


Get involved in testing of Nottingham's new online directory for health and social care services

As part of a new online health and social care service directory Nottingham City Council (NCC) and Nottingham City Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) are keen to consult with as many people as possible. This will ensure the website is useful and relevant for citizens, the workforce and providers of services with Nottingham.
