Care Quality Commission Consultation - Code of practice on confidential personal information

What is this consultation asking people to comment on?

We are asking for people's views on whether our updated Code of practice provides a consistent and lawful approach to obtaining, using, disclosing and handling confidential personal information across all areas of CQC's work. We are asking whether the Code of practice is clear and easy to follow, and fully explains why and how we may need to use people's confidential personal information, and whether it reassures people that by following this Code, their information will be handled safely and appropriately at all times.

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) is seeking views on its plans for the next five years as it develops its approach to regulation.

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) is also asking for views on its proposed approach to using data, which will support a risk-based approach to regulation. In turn, this will support a more targeted and tailored inspection programme that allows CQC to inspect services rated good and outstanding less frequently and to lend greater support to those performing less well.

A national consultation about getting yourself active - Consultation closes on 31st January 2016

Nationally we are keen to hear from disabled people directly who may live in other parts of the country. This is to understand what the barriers are to taking part and indeed if people are using personal budgets for physical activity and sport.

Framework for Patient and Public Participation in Primary Care Commissioning: please can you help us?

The views of patients and the public, and our staff, are very valuable to us in shaping our future approach to participation - The deadline for completing the questionnaire is Friday 12 February 2016. We would be really grateful for your views.
