A national consultation about getting yourself active - Consultation closes on 31st January 2016

Nationally we are keen to hear from disabled people directly who may live in other parts of the country. This is to understand what the barriers are to taking part and indeed if people are using personal budgets for physical activity and sport.

Get Yourself Active, a project funded by Sport England about finding ways to help more disabled people get active, is coming to the end of its first year. Disability Rights UK is piloting approaches in partnership with Leicester Centre for Integrated Living, Cheshire Centre for independent Living and Equal Lives (Norfolk) and working with stakeholders locally to deliver better opportunities for disabled people.

The national consultation is available online but please get in touch if you would like a paper version to be sent to you or if you would like to answer the questions over the phone. We will be closing the consultation on 31 January 2016 and will be sharing what we have found through our project updates.

Please share this link to the consultation as widely as possible – https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/GYAnational

If you are interested in keeping up to date with the project and are intrigued about the results of our national consultation, please sign up by following this link – http://eepurl.com/bAihoD

Just as a teaser though ... we have found people who are using personal budgets for physical activity so watch this space by signing up to our update!
