Helping the VCS get ready to access the European Funding 2014-20 Programme

 Registration is closed for this event

This free event, including lunch, will focus on providing funding advisors’ with the skills and knowledge to better support VCS organisations who have innovative projects to developing and contributing to the local economy and who may be eligible for ERDF funding or other European Funding streams.

There is a real commitment from One East Midlands and the East Midlands Department for Communities and Local Government to increase the number of VCS organisations benefiting from the ERDF funding programme. This session will prepare funding advisers to plan ahead for the next 2014-2020 ERDF programme of funding and be ready to support the VCS tap into these resources.

The current economic climate in the East Midlands region still suggests that there are opportunities for VCS organisations to contribute to the economic growth of the region, through tackling issues and delivering services at a community level. Stimulating economic and enterprise activity in the most disadvantaged areas of the region are key priorities for funders like ERDF, ESF and the Big Lottery. Is there more the VCS can do to meet these priorities and tap into the resources that are available to fund this activity?

The outcomes of this event are for delegates to gain:

  • an understanding of the changes ahead and what the new programme of funding will look like;
  • an understanding of economic outcomes and the measurement of economic impact;
  • an overview of the key elements of delivering an ERDF project; and
  • an understanding of how can the VCS prepare for these opportunities.

The target audience for this event are:

  • Third sector funding advisors and development workers
  • Private sector advisors supporting VCS organisations
  • Statutory sector advisors and development workers.
