One East Midlands 2007-13 ERDF Competitiveness Programme Annual Information Event – Post event page
One East Midlands 2007-13 ERDF Competiveness Programme Annual Information Event, which took place in Derby on 31 March, attracted over 130 delegates from across the East Midlands, including representatives from the VCS, statutory and education sectors, who wanted to learn about the existing and new programme, ask questions and shape future focus.
This event also sought to:
- Stimulate projects and activities for the 2014-20 programme;
- Increase capacity and skills for the development of strong projects in the region;
- Increase awareness of the successes and challenges of the 2007-13 ERDF programme;
- Engage with local enterprise partnerships (LEPs) and the Local Growth Team; and
- Raise awareness, interest and engagement in the 2014-20 programme.
Speakers at the event included Mark Foley from DCLG East Midlands, Rowena Limb from BIS East Midlands, and Andrew Pritchard from East Midlands Councils. Delegates also heard from three ERDF projects in the region, including Prince’s Trust, Electric Corby and the Renewal Trust.
In addition, delegates were able to attend two of a choice of four workshops, including an introduction to state aid; procurement and marketing compliance; cross sector collaboration; and social innovation and utilising technology.
