New minister for civil society

Rob Wilson MP has been installed as the new minister for civil society following Saturday's resignation of Brooks Newmark in response to a Sunday Mirror scandal.

Wilson, MP for Reading East, is a former aide to George Osborne and recent parliamentary private secretary to Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt.

Before entering politics he was an entrepreneur, building a number of small businesses. Before being elected MP for Reading East in 2005, he also served as a local councillor in Reading. He is married with four children.
