Briefing: The six principles for engaging people and communities

Five years, three gaps and six principles… what are the six principles for engaging people and communities’ and how do they fit in to the NHS Five Year Forward View?

The People and Communities Board (one of the groups overseeing implementation of the Five Year Forward View) has developed a set of six principles for changing the way that health and care relate to people and communities. The principles are being used across the NHS in planning services for the next five years.

National Voices has produced a short briefing called The six principles for engaging people and communities which covers key information about the six principles.
