The Disability Partnership is running a pilot project to explore the potential of pharmacies to improve the health and wellbeing of people with disabilities, and to test out different approaches to developing an accessible and inclusive pharmacy offer.

We are currently looking to recruit interested pharmacies who would be willing to participate in this project that will:

  1. Gather feedback and input from pharmacists and people with disabilities, to increase understanding of the needs and perceptions of these stakeholders, and use this as a basis to design and test reasonable adjustments in pharmacy settings.
  2. Explore what support and training pharmacists might need to engage people with disabilities, and trial this with a small sample of pharmacists.
  3. Test out different ways of prescribing in an accessible way, and measure the impact of various reasonable adjustments with a sample of pharmacists.
