Young people and rights

Youth Access and JustRights have launched a campaign calling on government to improve young people's access to the information, advice and representation that they need to become active members of society.

The organisations worked with hundreds of young people across England to create the manifesto in their own words. The six calls to government from young people are:

  • Make it easier for us to get the correct information;
  • Make independent advice services just for young people available in every area;
  • Give free access to solicitors who specialise in working with young people;
  • Make citizens advice bureaux young person friendly;
  • Tailor services to meet our individual needs; and
  • Put interests first, above those of the system.
