Skills platform launched

Skills Platform, an online marketplace for training and personal development courses for charities and health organisations, was launched on 12 January.

Charities have previously been able to access a pilot version of the site, which is hosted by Skills for Health and has been predominantly funded by the UK Commission for Employment and Skills, which invested at least £280,000 in the project.

Organisations can search and compare training and skills development courses aimed at the health, charity and social enterprise sectors. Training on offer is divided into face-to-face, e-learning and distance education or a blend of the three.

All courses can be signed up for and purchased on the website and over 600 training providers have so far listed courses or consultancy.
