The R Word - Ending Racism in the 21st Century

The Runnymede Trust, in partnership with The Red Room, are inviting delegates to take part in open platforms of debate, performance and activism as part of the End Racism This Generation campaign, including in Ipswich and Birmingham.

Young people will sit alongside experts, artists, journalists, educators, writers and politicians to discuss how we can move from feelings to action and End Racism This Generation.

Over four platforms across four cities in the UK, spaces will be created for people to talk some truths. Collaborating with a host of regional partners and featuring live performance, music and video mixed with conversation and testimony, each platform will be an opportunity to shed some light on racism.

The Ipswich event will take place at HEG, New Wolsey on Friday 9 May from 6.30pm to 9.30pm and the Birmingham event will take place on Thursday 29 May from 6.30pm to 9.30pm at MAC Birmingham.

The events are free but booking is essential. To book for the Ipswich event visit www.wolseytheatre.co.uk and for the Birmingham event visit http://macbirmingham.co.uk.
