One East Midlands ERDF Annual Information Event

This free event will be the largest gathering of stakeholders this year which marks the start of a new programme cycle of ERDF funding. It’s a crucial time for anyone managing, delivering, supporting ERDF projects and for those who want to find out more about the new programme.

This event is a unique opportunity for you to come together with 150 other delegates from across the East Midlands, including representatives from the VCS, statutory and education sectors to learn about the existing and new programme, ask questions and shape future focus.

This event will also seek to:

  • Stimulate projects and activities for the 2014-20 programme;
  • Increase capacity and skills for the development of strong projects in the region;
  • Increase awareness of the successes and challenges of the 2007-13 ERDF programme;
  • Engage with local enterprise partnerships (LEPs) and the Local Growth Team; and
  • Raise awareness, interest and engagement in the 2014-20 programme.

 

Speakers

We are delighted to confirm the following speakers at this event:

  • Mark Foley – Head of the Midlands Growth Development Team, Department for Communities and Local Government;
  • Rowena Limb – Area Director, Department for Business Innovation & Skills East & South East Midlands; and
  • Andrew Pritchard – Director of Policy & Infrastructure, East Midlands Councils.
  • John O’Reilly – Central England Director, Prince’s Trust
  • Nick Bolton – Founder and Project Manager, Electric Corby

 

Workshops

There will be an opportunity for you to attend two of the following workshops:

  • An introduction to state aid, led by Sarah Livestro – Senior Associate, Shoosmiths LLP;*
  • Procurement and marketing compliance (workshop lead tbc);*
  • Cross sector collaboration – what opportunities have been indentified in the 2007-13 ERDF programme, led by Chris Hall - Business Manager, Hive Project and Michael Huxley – Outreach Manager, Hive Project; and
  • Social innovation – utilising technology through ERDF, led by Glen Mehn – Managing Director, Social Innovation Camp.
