Funding opportunities for young people

The Investment and Contract Readiness Fund provides grants and specialised support to ensure that social ventures based and operating in England are better equipped to secure new forms of investment and compete for public service contracts. Grants of between £50,000 and £150,000 are available. As part of the ICRF a new Arts Ventures Fund is open which aims to increase access to and participation in arts and culture and establish education projects for young people. BBC Children in Need supports organisations that work with disadvantaged children and young people in the UK. Small Grants of up to £10,000 are available for one year. Main Grants of over £10,000 are available to support projects for up to three years and the next deadline is 15 January. The Volant Charitable Trust was set up by the author J K Rowling to support projects that alleviate social deprivation, with a particular emphasis on children's and women’s issues. The next deadline for applications is Friday 10 January 2014. For further information visit www.volanttrust.com.

The EBM Charitable Trust offers grants to charitable organisations active in the UK with grant awards of between £5,000 and £100,000 and youth development is one of the priority areas.
