How is your PCC engaging with young people?

As part of SFC, the National Council for Voluntary Youth Services (NCVYS) is building on the successful Youth Charter that many PCCs signed up to by looking to provide PCCs with good models of engaging with young people, and how to include the voices of those who are rarely heard.

They will be use the Youth Charter website at http://pccyouthcharter.wordpress.com to highlight and share models of good practice, which PCCs can adapt or replicate in their own areas. It will give a space for PCCs to share across areas how they are engaging with young people and hopefully provide a focus for wider conversations about working positively with young people.

If you working with your PCC on young people’s engagement: have a model you are developing that you would like to share or help to make it work: or if your PCC engaging with young people particularly well, or badly, NCVYS would like to get in touch with you and possibly feature your examples on the Youth Charter website.

For further information and to submit your examples contact Mike Fitzsimmons, Safer Future Communities Officer at NCVYS, by email at mike@ncvys.org.uk or on 07818 598153.
