Introduction to ERDF Reach and Impact Project 2012-2015

Running from now until March 2015, One East Midlands’ Reach and Impact project, funded by ERDF and match funded by the Big Lottery Fund, will deliver a range of support activities, primarily focused on PA2 areas, to increase the understanding of, reach and impact of ERDF funding.

Activity will focus on:

  • increasing awareness,
  • increasing Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) engagement
  • unlocking potential match funding
  • Supporting the development of local collaborative programmes
  • Improving PA2 impact and learning

The project will focus on PA2 areas but will also seek to ensure PA1 activities are linked with local economic priorities.

The project will deliver a range of support activities including:

  • Case studies and publicity to increase awareness and understanding of practical applications of ERDF
  • Focussed events and for, and work with VCS organisations to increase engagement
  • Develop tools and resources for funding advisors to build capacity to advise on ERDF funding
  • Identifying new potential sources of match with traditional VCS funders
  • Support East Midlands Councils in the role of developing learning, and capacity within PA2 districts by:
  • Supporting collaborative local partnerships in PA2 areas with VCS organisations and
  • Supporting peer learning between PA2 districts

The beneficiaries and target audience are:

  • Voluntary and Community Sector organisations across the East Midlands
  • Voluntary and community sector support providers
  • VCS funders and investors
  • Providers of VCS funding advice
  • Existing project managers delivering ERDF projects
  • Local Authorities leads in PA2 districts
